Imazethapyr 10%SL

Introduction:

It is a selective, systemic post-emergence herbicide. It belongs to the class of imidazolinone herbicides and inhibition of aceto-lactase synthase (ALS) or Acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS) mode of action. Its mode of action is by branched chain amino acid valine, leucine, and isoleucine synthesis inhibition. This herbicide is absorbed by the aerial parts and roots of the plant.

Management application:

Adding ammonium sulfate (5kg/ha) or phragmites to the solution prepared for spraying increases the absorption property by weeds. This poison should be used for spraying only once a year and the continuous use of this poison should be avoided due to possible risks for the next crop. In the last year of alfalfa cultivation, its consumption should be avoided.
