The Vayego® launch ceremony was held online on May 20 in China, where Bayer’s innovative next-generation insecticide was introduced to the Chinese paddy rice market as a safer solution for rice pest control, which protects It is from cereals and production and sustainable development of agriculture.

Alfonso Alba, General Manager of Bayer CropScience Great China, said in his opening speech that 2020 marks the 10th year of Bayer’s “More Rice” initiative. With the addition of Vayego®, Bayer  can provide farmers with a safer rice pest control solution for better pest control and increased yield.

In recent years, lepidopteran pests have increasingly damaged agricultural production. Vayego contains the active ingredient tetranylyprole, a highly effective product for controlling lepidopteran pests. Data comparison shows that  Vayego shows high insecticidal activity, with long-lasting effect and is safe for crops. In September 2021, it was registered to apply for paddy rice in China.

Early stages of crop growth is the right time to use  Vayego. At this time, the field’s insect population is relatively uniform, which is the right time to spray. In addition, effective pest control in the early stages of crop growth can reduce the pressure of large insect populations in later stages. The optimal time of spraying occurs at the peak of the egg hatching period.

Vayego is a single agent tetranylyprole 20% SC. In the future, Bayer is ready to work with more partners to create mixtures that meet the needs of farmers.

So far, Bayer’s Vayego has been registered worldwide for use in 51 products in 77 targets. In China, Vayego is registered for use in six crops, including cabbage, rice, citrus, red pepper, apple tree and tomato. As the market develops, Bayer plans to use Vayego for dozens of products and purposes, aiming to provide more efficient and durable pest control solutions. Source: https://news.agropages.com
