Bayer removes Roundup herbicide from the US home market. The company has promised to replace this herbicide with new formulations by 2023. This decision and action of the Bayer company was made following numerous complaints from this company regarding the carcinogenicity of Rundup herbicide and the condemnation of this company by the United States Supreme Court.
Glyphosate was a product manufactured by Monsanto, after Bayer bought Monsanto, Bayer had to settle complaints against this widely used and widely sold product.
Bayer continues to insist that Rundup herbicide is safe and sound and has stated that it is only taking this action to avoid any potential new lawsuits in the future.
This company has announced that glyphosate-based herbicides (Randup) will continue to be supplied and consumed in the agricultural sector and there will be no changes in this sector.
