Performance Nutrition introduced the NutriWise brand, a granular and water-soluble powder fertilizer that will replace the legacy NutriSmart product line. New products are available for the agricultural, turf and ornamental markets.
Wendy Kemmerer, vice president of Performance Nutrition, said the decision “allows us to offer our customers a practical alternative for agricultural and turf applications. “We felt the time was right to offer a US-made bio-fertilizer.”
The new core product has a 5-3-0 analysis with 3% humic acids, 1.5% iron and 0.5% zinc. It also contains the three species of Bacillus, Trichoderma, and Saccharomyces that were the original components of the NutriSmart line.
The benefits of the new formulation of NutriWise Granules and WSP are:
Improving the efficiency of nutrient consumption and soil fertility
Reducing the leaching of chemical fertilizers
Improving the soil environment for beneficial microbes
Continuous, uniform and slow release of nitrogen
“With raw material and fertilizer prices at their highest levels, now is the right time to move toward alternative biofertilizers,” Kemmerer said. “They are more economically viable, environmentally sustainable, and offer equal or better performance.”
