He stated that the most pest of the Moroccan locust was reported in Rudbar city, and added: In the cities of Amlesh, Rudsar, Siahkal and Astara, there were fewer Moroccan locusts, although chemical control of locusts has been carried out in all these cities.
The head of plant protection management of Gilan Province Agricultural Jihad organization stated: Every year in the end of March, Moroccan locust monitoring is done in the gardens of Rudbar in order to plan for chemical control according to the density and conditions.
Referring to the observation of Moroccan locust centers in the gardens of Rudbar in the beginning of Farudin, he said: The operation to fight against the Moroccan locust started on the 12th of Farudin in the gardens of Rudbar city and continues in the summer areas.

Moroccan locust pest has entered Gilan province for several years, this locust damages the gardens and lands of the region by laying eggs under the soil, forming a center and wintering when the weather is warm and favorable after hatching.
The attack of the Moroccan locust pest is first from the pastures, then it enters the fields and gardens, and if not controlled, it will complete the life cycle and destroy the plants in its path by feeding.
