Recently, Cipiraflon has been approved and registered by the Ministry of Agriculture of Pakistan, which is the official start of foreign sales of KingAgroot in the overseas market.
Cipyraflon is a p-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) inhibitor herbicide developed independently by KingAgroot. It was officially registered in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China on August 30, 2018. This is the first time that HPPD inhibitor is used to control weeds in wheat, the special thing is that this herbicide has no cross-resistance with other wheat herbicides.
Pakistan is of strategic importance in the Asian market, so KingAgroot chose Pakistan as its first overseas market. Pakistan relies mainly on agriculture, with wheat, rice and maize as the main food crops. Wheat constitutes about 40% of the total cultivated land in Pakistan. However, farmers struggle with weeds such as Phalaris minor that are highly resistant to locally available herbicides. This weed seriously affects agricultural production in Pakistan due to its vigorous growth and strong reproductive ability and rapid spread.
In order to improve the efficiency and quality of the world’s agricultural production and ensure the world’s food security, KingAgroot has conducted scientific trials of weed control in Pakistan. Data show that Cypyrafluone can effectively control most weeds in wheat fields, especially Phalaris minor, and help farmers save a lot on planting costs.
